A lot of people are worried that if their marriage ends pursuant to their being caught having an affair that it will affect their legal rights. In Israel, there is no concept of “no-fault” divorce like in other jurisdictions, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that just because somebody is caught red handed that they lose legal rights.
Part of it depends upon where the divorce litigation occurs (the Rabbinic court or the Family court) and of course part of it depends on the individual judge or dayanim making the decisions. Part of it depends on the planning that goes into preparing for the divorce.
